Neighborhood Bike Drive
Needs Your Help
Sass Construction would like to support a Chanhassen neighborhood that is collecting gently used bikes, helmets, and bike accessories in service of a non-profit group called A Better Society. Donated bikes that need minimal maintenance (tires pumped up, gears adjusted, and chain greased) can be more quickly redistributed to families in need. Volunteers make the repairs needed to get hundreds of bikes working and in the hands of those in need, over the summer months. The neighborhood's goal is to have 100 bikes ready for delivery on May 21.
If you have a gently used bike or bike accessories that you would be willing to donate, you can drop them off at Sass Construction at 1330 Park Rd. in Chanhassen by Friday, April 15. Our office hours are Mon. - Fri. 7:30am-4:00pm. We will take care of delivering them to the volunteers. Please call us at 952-474-4568 if you would like to donate but are unable to come during our office hours.

Kitchen/Living Room Remodel in Edina
The owners of this home wanted to remodel, while keeping the home's original footprint. We will transform a small kitchen, living room and screened porch into a great room. Space will be reserved for the formal dining room that the owners don't want to give up. We are also creating a new "cottage" garage, with space for 2 cars and storage. Before we're done, the house will be completely re-sided for the perfect curb appeal.

Lead Safe Renovations

It is important for you as a valued customer to know that we place the utmost priority on the health and safety of your home. We do this by continually attending industry training and certification classes to stay current on new information and construction methods. It is part of our personal commitment to you. |
Most recently, we attended a Certified Renovator Course provided by the Environmental Protection Agency which allowed us to gain certification on lead safety. This will allow us to perform lead safe renovation, repair, and paint work in pre-1978 housing and in child-occupied facilities where work will disturb lead-based paint.
In September, we received training and became a Minnesota licensed contractor for the Project Re-Energize government rebate program. The program offers rebates for qualified, energy-efficient improvements to existing homes. Even after the program ends, we have gained valuable insight into helping homeowners take the steps needed to maintain indoor air quality, proper ventilation, and preventing mold and mildew.

This remodel starts with a 400 square foot 1st floor addition for a new
mudroom and powder room with a utility garage underneath. The 2nd
floor expansion is 780 square feet for a new master suite, master bath
and a large walk-in closet. The master suite features a fireplace with
stack stone surround and master bath with heated tile floors, a slipper
lions-paw foot tub, maple cabinets, marble countertop and a large tiled
walk-in shower with in-floor heat. The remodeled kitchen rounds out the
new 1st floor with beautiful maple cabinetry, granite countertops, tiled
backsplash and black walnut flooring throughout.
